I just want to say hi, and post off topic material, make suggestions, complain, tell jokes, post goodies etc.

Can we all agree to meet once a week at a certain time and day on the chat? There's been so many hit and misses. Any suggestions?

Good idea...which 'chat' though i.e., which client. We'd take into consideration the 'ponders' on this side of course.
We could work around your time (CST) perhaps (+/- 6 hrs. for us).

I just wonder if the board chat can keep up?

I'm up for it , if it'sd morning on the other side of the ocean , it should be about late afternoon in Europe so it shouldn't take much effort.
Now for the particular day

I am up for it too!!

It can progress too, I used to hold transatlantic voice conversations via skype while working in the paranormal investigation community! We used to hook up late UK time which resulted in just after tea time USA! So if all feel comfortable there is nothing stopping us having free online conversations weekly to progress this process? after the chat by type obviously?

I haven't said anything yet on this subject because I haven't been led to. But now I am. I think it's good for us to communicate in a more instantaneous way.
My only reservation is this: that we may cover material in the chat conversations that would be of great benefit to 'newbies'. But I guess I can just trust Ø that whatever needs to get onto the site will make it there. The primary function of chat is community-building, not hammering out the details of our procedure. Though the latter may well happen!

uber geek

An uber geek is a prominent or extreme example of the common geek . Uber, the German word for above or over, has been adopted by English-speakers as a prefix meaning super or ultra; thus, the uber geek is one whose preoccupation with technology goes above and beyond that of the average geek.
