I've been asking about that lately as well.
I asked,
"Why am I here? Why does the illusion persist even though I can see through it?"
"You are here to enjoy that which this world has to offer. If you say you aren't interested in that, you're fooling yourself, providing a smokescreen for the fact that you are too lazy to go and get the things you like. You wouldn't be here if you weren't interested in the things this life has in store for you. But you have to want it enough to attain it."
