Look within ourselves?

Postby Joseph » Sat Mar 27, 2010 11:41 am

Hi, I often ask a question I feel like I know the answer mostly but not completely. It's actually pretty frustrating for me to know something but at the same time feel like something else is missing. Okay, I need help with this one and assume that you explain to someone in the forum who know nothing about answer.

I often run into this phrase "look within" or "find God within" from people here or from various spiritual teachers in the past. What does this mean? How do I find God within myself.

Thanks!

You say you partially know , this is the "knowing within oneself"
The more you work on yourself and the better you become at listening accompagnied by others confirming what you already "know" it will become more clear

The feeling of knowing is undescribeable to others as they have yet to experience it, many times i have tried to relay this but i have found it is easier to give morsels of wisdom and ask them to observe rather than logically breakdown the process, you are your only teacher/learner and trying to immpess the wisdom and knowledge that you have found is an almost impossible task, small incriments and steps are the best way to help the confused after all they are confused and you are not, liken it to something material that you can do very well, paint, play an instrument, write poems even play a video game, how would you teach others to do this? The same goes for helping others to find out the truth, small steps my friend, small steps.

You are describing tuning. This picture comes to mind.

Ø resides and comunicates from within.

Like watching your favourite tv show, then the picture becomes fuzzy.

The answer and the method to the question is to adjust the ariel.
Looking within comes with a quite mind. Ask a question, take in what is shown, not said.
The more you do this, the more you become aware.

If you consider that everything is one (and this is scientifically and logically provable), then it follows that you are not separate from God. You have been doing God's work all along. Recall the portion of the roage website that explains the means of movement of matter within the matrix of physical existence. God gives you the idea to move your finger, and your finger moves. Whose power is expressed? Is it yours? Of course not! It all belongs to the Creator! But it is helpful for the illusion, until our observer has developed/grown to a certain extent, that we would think that we ourselves wield that power with our own individual wills. But it is an illusion. Once we grow beyond its usefulness, it falls away into the past. I still enjoy the illusion to an extent, so I operate as if I were doing things... But inside, I know that it is all a gift from the Supreme Authority, and in no way a product or consequence of my own effort. I am eager to learn through positive reinforcement, these days ;)

Interesting picture Moose. Just found this while thinking about it.

It's the first time I've seen this picture as a whole, I'd always seen just the two fingers touching.....Isn't it uncanny that the picture is painted looking like a brain.

There are no coincidences. Michelangelo is it? He must have been a hermetic student. No one at that time in conventional science had any inkling about the function of the pineal gland (from where it appears that God's hand is reaching out).

Moose, that was very interesting. I often try to ask and listen with a quiet mind, but I got absolutely nothing. Maybe at this point I have too much ego clutter to deal with. Also there is something about God speaking to us through our heart right? So far it seems like I get stronger feedback listening to my heart, but I am not too confident of my own interpretation.
