Someone's in for a painful lesson, there is no way out of it now.
below see the email I sent her today...
Dear Ms. Murphy,
I hope that this comunication finds you well and in good health. It has come to my attention that when the owners of Printing Solutions, Incorporated gave you the W-4 form that I filled out, you told them that I had attempted to do something illegal, thus besmirching my good name with them. This puts me in the difficult position of having to address not only the issue of the form, which was indeed properly filled according to the Internal Revenue Code as well as Publication 505 that you sent to me, but also the slander against my character that has been committed by you without cause.
If you doubt the truth of my exempt status as concerns Subtitle A Income Tax and Subtitle C Employment Tax, I heartily recommend you speak with your legal counsel about the matter.
Since it is my intention to remain in good relations with my fellow man as much as it depends on me, I am willing and in fact eager to forgive the criminal trespass you committed in telling me that I am required to pay income taxes (whether you meant actual "income tax", as defined in Subtitle A of the Internal Revenue Code, or "employment tax", as defined in Subtitle C of said Code is irrelevant as neither applies to me. You have not done your own due diligence concerning the Code, and this is why you are misinformed as to the categories of people to whom the Internal Revenue Code applies.). All that I require for this forgiveness to take place is that you would withdraw your comments to the owners of Printing Solutions, Incorporated, that implied that I was or am attempting to do something illegal (in other words, commit a crime). It is not surprising that the owners of Printing Solutions, Incorporated are reluctant to allow someone to work for them who actively engages in what you called illegal activity. What is absolutely clear is that you cannot claim to be ignorant of the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, as you are a licensed professional offering services with respect to the Code.
If you do not withdraw those comments, I will be put in a very difficult position. Since you committed fraud (misrepresentation of the Internal Revenue Code) in attempting to convince me that I am liable for income or employment tax, and slander against me in your communications with the owners of Printing Solutions, Incorporated, I must either report the instances of fraud and slander or become complicit in them. Since no substantive damages have as yet been done, it is my sincere desire that we clear up this matter before such damages are done, because at that point I will be forced to report you to the prevailing authority on the matter. At that point it will be out of my hands.
Please be certain that I am not posturing. If your slanderous comments cause me to lose the job I had already acquired before you got involved, I will be forced to do as I have said.
If you have any doubts about my status, please consult the attached declaration, [edit: it's a slightly modified version of Roage's document, "The Way"] as you, too are subject to its provisions. A signed version of it will be filed with the County Recorder in Washington County.
In good faith,
James M. Farley, II
