Remedies and or first aid

Seeing how fast Lee's remedy worked on Ryan, I thought it would be a good idea to post and share some home health remedies or practical first aid application on this forum.
So I will start with a natural styptic, cayenne pepper. For external bleeding, apply cayenne pepper powder directly on a wound. Cayenne will hasten the blood clotting action. I tried it and it worked :o

for anyone that didn't see the remedy I posted here it is:

grate an onion and add to a tablespoon of brown sugar and a coupla inches of water in a pan. simmer for about 10 mins (with lid on) and strain. drink as required, it's magic! doesn't taste too unpleasant either

here's another of the top of my head, most people probably know this one by anyway......for burns, cover in honey (unpasteurised is best) as soon as you can and wrap in a dressing. you will find that it will heal much quicker and may not leave a scar.

Another one for burns, that is EXCELLENT is pine oil. I'm pretty sure it has to be real pine oil. The balsam pine is what was used for the remedy i am familiar with. But once I seared my hand on a hot bread pan, a first degree, almost 2nd degree burn, and just kept applying chilled pine tea (made by mixing some oil in water) with a spray bottle any time i was reminded of the pain, and it had healed to the point of no pain at all within 3 hours. That was impressive. Learned that in the 12 tribes.

A good boil remedy is nutmeg. My dad had them on his legs years ago, and his mother (my granny) told him to take a spoonful of nutmeg by mouth, and wash it down with liquid a couple times a day. It really worked for him, so I imagine it would work for others too. I'll bet you could also dilute some of the nutmeg essential oil with a carrier and use it topically as well.

I also love tea tree oil for infections. You don't even need to dilute it.

DMSO is a fantastic carrier and a healer in its own right. It can be a little harsh, but it's good stuff. It has helped my knee immensely.

I jammed my knee bad, last Sunday, riding my dirt bike. Today, Thursday, it is at almost 50%. Day 1 i didn't even want to put weight on it.
