Revolver has been f---ed with. Little trace as to why.

I heard something back about a year ago, a comment on youtube, someone said that Sorter ended up getting killed in Revolver.

In the version I saw, he did not. I think that's the version most of us have seen.

I downloaded the other version unknowingly, and watched it. I must say that it's not nearly as good.

In the dead-Sorter version, there is no monologue while Jake's falling down the stairs at the beginning of the movie. Jake has his "fear me" chat with Macha at about 3/4 through the movie instead of at the end. Sorter gets killed by the little red-faced guy (who's the only one left alive, so Macha gets the little girl and I presume her father is killed)

It's clear this movie was filmed with two versions in mind. I don't know which one was released in the theaters, but the one I first saw did a better job of showing the way toward ego attenuation. There's not even any credits at the end of this other version.

When I did a google search for "two versions" revolver sorter ritchie, I got nothing, NOTHING on this subject. I think this is purposeful. I got very little more with a "directors cut" search.

the right film will get to the right people.

Hey dude,

Long time no -chat? :D

I know what your refering to as I was curious about it myself. Anyway the version I had until recently was the "other" one you mentioned, and to be honest, without having prior knowledge that there were edits to the monologue I found it amazing. Needless to say, I now have both versions -although I had only decided to watch the second one(the "US" release your refering to have seen, the other is the UK/Euro) tonight.

I'm on beer number two right now so I wont attempt to explain the differences in the plots, though through my subsequent seaching I found a "Revolver" board on IMDb itself. Heres the link: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0365686/board/.

If the link doesn't work(not checked) then a quick search on IMDb should bring it up.

Happy hunting :)

PS: Hope everythings sweet dude :)

Hey yeah man, long time no chat. I dislike instant messengers these days. They'll interrupt you any time with no warning.

I'll check out that board on IMDB... I love IMDB, one of the best resources on the net!

So apparently there are 2 versions: the UK one and the US one. The UK one is the one where sorter dies and the US one (which was released afterward) was actually the one that was f--ed with. In this case being f--ed with was actually a positive thing. F--k is such an ambiguous word.

Except that the US version is the Director's Cut, and the UK version is the one that the corporation f---ed with in order to keep their shareholders happy. So, it was de-tampered (restored) to the director's vision.

I ordered mine off internet. I don't remember anyone died toward the end.

The movie is dangerous to those who would rather we remain asleep. This is also why we are conditioned to violate funadmental law in order to rendur ourselves powerless by our own choosing.

Clever...
