Oh, and when he says he was meditating in his usual fashion, he probably means:
He was very stoned on very good marijuana.
Even if what he says is not true for me, I believe he was sincere, and it may have been true for him... he doesn't come across as your typical confused person. This is, after all, a simulation, and anything is possible.
