The "Statue of Freedom"

Postby Seamus » Thu Feb 17, 2011 12:35 am

I was watching "Life After People", episode 3 of season 1, and about 28 minutes into the episode, the narrator mentions that "the 15,000 pound bronze Statue of Freedom" on the top of the dome of the Capitol building in Washington D.C. will contribute to the eventual collapse of the dome, without human maintenance.

This brought me up short! Years ago, on a cheesy conspiracy film on youtube (here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XA1g3wjHEmw) I saw that statue referred to as a statue of Persephone, the goddess of the underworld.

Yeah, so what, you say.

Persephone's back story is that she went to the Underworld to try to persuade Hades to let warmth and light return to the earth. He agreed, but only on the condition that she eat one pomegranate seed. Because she ate that seed, she had to return to the Underworld year after year, and this is called winter. When Persephone returns, we have spring. She spends half her life in the Underworld and half her life here.

If you are still saying "so what", you need to think about this.

In Washington D.C. are those who dupe the masses of humanity into living their lives in what I consider to be a hell. People trade their god-given self-responsibility for a false sense of security in a corporation. A place where people feel victimized and beg the authorities for help. What better symbol for the top of the building in which they weave their spells, than the woman, who willingly and with open eyes, sacrificed half of her life, so that the world could have spring and summer in addition to winter?

Also, this story suggests that the real power lies with those in the Underworld. An Idea that I have rejected.

It pays to be observant.
