If you pay attention, the ego is not to be destroyed. It is the marvelous movie projector that gives us this experience within the simulation. It merely needs to be put back in its proper role. That is, providing the illusions we seek to enjoy, without trying to direct existence, which it has no power to do, which is why so many people are perpetually frustrated.
